The NBA, of course, does not like talking about their wives, especially when it comes to the issue of domestic violence.
While the league has a program to help victims, the players do not have access to the same help, as evidenced by this video:When the Miami HEAT defeated the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night, their wives took to social media to vent their frustration.
According to the team’s website, players can contact the MiamiHEAT.com Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-222-8477 or 1-866-HELP-MIAMI or at www.
They can also reach the league office at 1.800.624.7463.
The Heat, of which Dwyane Wade is a member, have been outspoken in their support of domestic abuse victims.
Wade has previously called for a boycott of the NBA, saying that he was not in favor of the league’s policies toward domestic violence because of the players’ position.
He also stated that he has not had contact with the league about the issue.NBA spokesman Jason Miller declined to comment.
