— The first of three recruits to be announced by the University of Louisville on Tuesday is a 6-foot-7 guard from Lexington, Ky., whose name is Tyus Jones.
The school announced Tuesday the addition of Jones, who is rated the No. 20 player in the nation by Rivals and ESPN.
The recruit is the top-rated player at Kentucky and has a 6.9 rating in the 247Sports Composite.
Jones is the second player to be a member of the 2018 class, joining the likes of D.J. Brown, who committed to the Cardinals in February.
The other recruits on the Louisville team that will be playing in the 2018-19 season are freshman guard Austin Evans, who chose the Cardinals over Duke, and senior guard Isaiah Williams, who has also committed to Louisville.
Jones and Evans are expected to play for the Cardinals, who have played in the Final Four every year since the 1960s.
The Cardinals finished with a 62-60 record last season, but fell short of the national championship.
