How to watch Illinois Basketball’s comeback in the South
The Illinois basketball team has a chance to finish the season in the top 25 of the AP poll after a 38-point win over St. John’s on Friday.
The Bears won their fourth straight game after losing their previous four.
The win snapped a five-game losing streak and moves them within one game of ninth place in the Associated Press poll.
Illinois is in the midst of a three-game winning streak, including a 72-66 win over Texas Tech in Texas on Friday night.
The Illini won their third straight game.
The Bears (18-4, 10-3) are coming off their third win in five games.
They’ve won six of their last seven games, including their previous three.
“I just feel like we are playing the right way,” coach Scott Drew said.
“It’s just about getting better every day and making sure we are not losing too many games and that’s a lot of things.
That’s our focus right now.
We have a lot to learn about how we’re playing.
We’re trying to get better.”
Illini point guard Aaron Harrison scored a career-high 27 points and was 9 of 11 from 3-point range.
Freshman guard Andrew Bynum added 17 points and 10 rebounds.
