Gators coach Will Muschamp said he expects Florida to have an “explosive” game against No. 18 Indiana on Saturday.
“The only thing I’m disappointed about is the fact we didn’t win the game,” Muschamps said Friday.
“The only way to get over that hump is to win, and that’s what we’re going to do.”
The Gators (17-5, 7-5 SEC) opened the season with an upset win over North Carolina in the opener of the ACC Tournament on Saturday and are coming off a win over South Carolina.
Florida had a chance to win the series opener in Miami on Thursday.
But the Tar Heels blew a 17-point lead in the final 2:25 and finished the game with just 11 points.
Indiana (10-6, 6-5) will look to continue its momentum following Saturday’s loss to Florida.
The Hoosiers are 10-1 this season and sit in a tie for third place in the Big Ten standings.
“We got a win,” Indiana coach Kevin Wilson said.
“It’s not like we’re playing good basketball.
Wilson said the Hoosier players had to “get up for the first time” and that they need to be better.
Indiana also lost guard Mike Muscala for the season.
The game against the Hoasiers has been delayed twice this season because of the Zika virus.
Indiana had the game played on Friday, but Muschams said it will be moved to Saturday afternoon due to the virus.
The Hurricanes (14-7, 6,500) also will have a chance Saturday to win their third straight game.
Miami’s three losses this season are to the Gators, who have won four of five in the series.
Miami has won six of seven in the season series.
Florida has won five of its last six against the Gators.
